Business Licensing

The City of Blue Lake requires annual business licenses for all businesses, including rentals, that are located in Blue Lake or provide services there.  This would include both one person businesses as well as those with employees.  The current fee schedule is dictated by voter approved City Ordinance #483.  The fees are billed annually on January 1 and are due & payable through Blue Lake City Hall.  All licensed businesses are entitled to a listing in the Blue Lake Business Directory located on this site.  Businesses that are held inside a residence within City limits may require a Home Occupation Permit. Residents should complete the Supplemental Application and submit with $30 to the City to see if a Home Occupation Permit is needed.

PDF copies of the Business License Application and Supplemental Application  are both available for download on this page. You may also download the city's business license ordinance No. 483 as adopted November 28, 2006.
