Planning Commission

The Blue Lake Planning Commission is an advisory agency appointed by the City Council that makes recommendations relating to the sound and orderly growth and development of the City. The Planning Commission is the approving authority for subdivisions, lot mergers and lot line adjustments, use permits, and variances. Appointments are held in June of even-numbered years, in which either two or three planning commission members are elected to four-year terms.

The Planning commission meets at 7pm. the third Monday of each month at the Skinner Store located behind City Hall.

The next meeting of the Planning Commissionisscheduled is scheduled for Janaury 21, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. at Skinner Store Building , 111 Greenwood Rd. behind City Hall. 

This will include a public hearing regarding an Amendment of the General Plan Land Use Element and Title 17 (Zoning) of the municipal Code to add an Opportunity Designation and Zone that would allow a variety of commercial, manufaturing, and residential uses.
