Information for New Residents

Water & Sewer: Sign up for service at Blue Lake City Hall, 111 Greenwood Avenue, 707/668-5655. A deposit and administration fee is needed to set up service. As of March 1, 2016, the Deposit for Water and Sewer Service inside the City Limits is $160 and the Administration fee is $30. The City currently only accepts cash, checks or money orders for payment. City Hall is open from 9 a.m. - 12 noon and 1 - 4 p.m. Water and sewer bills can be paid using the convenient drop box located outside of City Hall.

Mail & Postal Services: Blue Lake does not have home delivery mail service. Post office boxes are available at the local post office located at 411 First Avenue. The post office is opened Monday through Friday from 9 am. –5 pm. Access to post office boxes is available 24 hours a day. For additional information visit the office during open hours.

Weekly Garbage Pick-Up and/or Curbside Recycling: Blue Lake Garbage Company, 707/844-3503. For curbside recycling Blue Lake Garbage Company will provide every other week pick up service for all customers on either Monday or Tuesday every other week of each month, corresponding with the regular garbage pick-up day (garbage pick-up is weekly). Residents can arrange to participate in this program by calling the Blue Lake Garbage Company at 707/844-3503 to receive recycling containers for curbside pickup.
