Notice is Hereby given that the City Council of the City of Blue Lake will conduct a Public Hearing on the following general plan and zoning ordinance amendments at their regularly scheduled meeting of May 26, 2020.
Amendment of the General Plan Land Use Element and Title 17 (Zoning) of the Municipal Code to add an Opportunity (O) Zone that would allow a variety of commercial, manufacturing, and residential uses. The O Zone is proposed to be applied to several properties within the Powers Creek District (formerly Blue Lake Business Park) and adjacent areas that are currently zoned Industrial (M), Light Industry (ML), and Agriculture Exclusive (AE). The Land Use Element is also proposed to be comprehensively updated as part of these amendments.
In accordance with the Governor’s Executive Orders N-25-20 and N-29-20, the City Council shall conduct the City Council Meeting by Teleconference via Zoom on Tuesday May 26, 2020 at 6:30 p.m. Public Input can be given to the Council by emailing email@example.com until 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday May 26th, 2020. Public Input will be facilitated at Skinner Store, 111 Greenwood Ave behind Blue Lake City Hall, Utilizing Social Distancing Protocols.
All interested parties are invited to attend.
Please note that, pursuant to Section 65009 of the Government Code, as amended: if you challenge City action on the above general plan and zoning ordinance amendment in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the Blue Lake City Council at or prior to the public hearing.
