The City of Blue Lake is excited to announce that Phase 1 of the Blue Lake Bike & Skate Park Project is moving forward, with asphalt paving soon underway!
This exciting milestone would not be possible without an extraordinary $150,000 donation from the Brunson Family Fund. This generous donation is helping provide the funding needed to move the Bike & Skate Park into the next phase of making it a reality. The $150,000 contribution from the Brunson Family Fund represents a tremendous investment in Blue Lake’s future and helps make this important next step possible.
The Blue Lake Bike & Skate Park has been envisioned as a place where children, families, cyclists, skateboarders, scooter riders, roller skaters, and community members of all ages and abilities can come together to recreate, be active, and enjoy the outdoors. Now, that vision is beginning to take shape. We’d like to highlight and thank our committed, dedicated volunteers and partner organizations that have contributed countless hours and passion towards this project. We feel incredibly grateful for the Brunson Family Fund and abundance of volunteers who’ve supported this project that will provide recreational opportunities for our community and surrounding region for years to come.
As asphalt paving gets underway, we are excited to watch the site transform and to share this progress with the community.
Director Wood will be hosting Community Input sessions for Phase 2 of the Bike & Skate Park project throughout the following weeks to hear the community’s ideas about: park amenities, location/placement, design aspects & materials, sustainability, safety, park beautification, and more.
