Blue Lake Rancheria is a Sovereign Indian Nation located adjacent to the City of Blue Lake. We are dedicated to the education, self-confidence, and upward mobility of our Tribal Members. We are a Wiyot Tribe located in the historic Wiyot territory. Our members are Wiyot, Tolowa, Hupa, Kuruk, Yurok, Redwood Creek, and Cherokee Indians. Our Tribal Business Committee and the General Council have placed providing education and social services as a priority for our Tribal Members and the Blue Lake Community as a whole. Since the end of 1983, we have worked hard in the areas of education, entrepreneurship, and philanthropy to become one of the most respected and prosperous Tribes in Northern California.
The following services are provided to community members, living on or near the Rancheria.
Blue Lake Rancheria and City Of Blue Lake Transit Authority
The Transit authority consists of a Transit line between Blue Lake and Arcata daily, and a Dial-a-Ride Bus that runs Monday through Friday. The Transit is available to Tribal members, Elders, high school students, and disabled persons for free or a reduced fee. Visit the Transportation Page for more details
